broken welds
2004 Allegro Bay 37'db on right front behind tire is an vertical angle iron that is welded to the chassis frame and the coach body. The weld has broken on the coach body frame and seems to have ripped the metal. Has this happened to anyone else and was the break welded? I have, for some time, tried to figure out where the "clunk" noise was coming from when the front right of the coach hits certain bumps at any speed. Can anyone share what they have found? Thanks and happy RVing.

Welcome to iRV2.
Sorry you're here with problems .
What you're seeing is a common failure at a weld , the welding material holds and the parent metal gives way right next to the weld . Possible causes , arc welding was too hot or just a weak spot in the metal . A welding shop , maybe even a mobile welder around you can fix and re-enforce the area , BUT! be sure they follow all the warnings from the engine and trans manufactures about disconnecting control modules , before they start.

I had a lot of broken welds on my 2014 Allegro 36LA. They were repaired at the RB service center. The Tiffin welders disconnected my chassis battery before welding on the frame. They turned off the inverter and the 12v master switch.

I have a 2005 37DB, I went out and checked the welds, mine are good, so maybe just a crappy weld job, should be hard to have it rewelded up.
Thanks for posting

My 37PA was not welded at all between the city channels that support the genetic and the frame. You talk about clunking, you have never heard anything like this. Took it to Gaffney and they welded it in three places on each side. Rode like a different right on the way home.
