Question Bumpers

Why don't Tiffin and other manufacturers' Class A RVs have external steel front and rear bumpers?

Guess they feel they're not needed. Plus they add to the cost.

Can always add a 6" steel I beam front and rear. Won't look very good though.
Automotive bumpers offer no protection anyway.
