Bus will sometimes start, then will not. Need help

I have 2006 allegro bus with 8.9 Cummins. would not start yesterday. Replaced chassis batteries and still would barely turn over. Called for jump and mechanic verified wiring and then shut off and turned back on chassis battery master. Tried starting and it cranked up. Drove 5 hours home and it would not start this morning. Cranked generator and after 5 minutes it cranked.

Any ideas?

Make sure all connections are clean and tight. Also check the master switch is not corroded or has loose wires.

Will do. Rv showed 13.6v on way home. Tailgating at the movement and the voltage shows 12.6, gen has been running 3hours. Am I reading voltage from chassis batteries or house.

Unless you are charging the batteries the voltage should stabalize about 12.6. When charging it should be 13+ volts

Contour Battery Master Switch | ParkPower

When you say battery master switch is it one like that?

If so it is probably bad. I just replaced mine as it fell apart. I hate plastic.

To test it turn on your marker lights and tap the switch and see if the lights flicker.

Well went thru system today. Checked all connections to starter. All was good. When starter engaged noticed sparks coming out of the end and a burning smell. Guess starter was the problem. Now have to have mechanic come to house or have it towed to the shop.
