We are camping at a campground that has cable (rarity in Alaska). We connected our cable to the box. However, the reception is bad. Is there something I'm forgetting to do?

Should it be off when connected to cable? I'll check when we get back to the campground.

Yes, it should be off. It would help if you could post the year of your coach as Tiffin made a change in the cable/antenna switching system a couple of years ago. The old style was just on or off, the new style has two buttons; one for cable and one for antenna.
