I'm looking to buy a pre 2007 emission Phaeton. I know that typically a motorhome can have a chassis at least one year older than the builder's model year. So my question is, does a 2007, or even 2008 Phaeton sit on a 2006 chassis and therefore be free from the later model emissions?

I have a 2008 phaeton 42QRH with 2007 Spartan chassis. It has a Cummins ISC with diesel particulate filter (DPF) which burns diesel in re-gen mode (no DPF fluid tank on this year model) I replaced the DPF last year for $5K which fixed the problem. I was later told by another mechanic that there are delete kits available. I didn't look into it. After dropping $5K on a muffler, I didn't want to know...
