We have stayed at the Indianapolis KOA three times. Nice place, and the management/ owners are real nice people.

We always stay at the Indy KOA. Ask for site D-13. Plenty of room for your rig and toad. Short drive to downtown Indy.

We've stayed at most in the area, none are that great a value for the rates charged. One that is marginal but cheap is Glo-Wood Campground. Many seasonal older units, in trees, with 10 pull through sites in an open area. Can be muddy if it's rainy. Location is key from I-65 N @ Exit 214, just 14 miles north if the I-465 beltway. Last month when we were in Indy from my cardiologist appointment @ IU/Methodist, we found I-465 E to be backed up at least 4 miles from I-65 to past Keystone in the mid afternoon.

White River Campground in Hamilton County is nice and within 45 minutes of the hospital. I think it is around $26/night for full hook ups.
