Carfax reports on MH

I just did a Carfax on the 2005 Allegro 32BA that I'm considering buying.
The report show four owners but the thing that is stressing me out is that there are no service reports of any kind. The third owner had it the longest and put 22,000 of the 33,000 miles that are on it. Someone put the Bully Dog headers and computer chip in it. The present owner only has it for 5 months and says that he is selling it because his wife has vertigo and gets really sick when she drives in it. He has no records for it as he bought it from a dealer.
Third owner sold it or traded it to a dealer in Pensacola, Fl. and present owner bought it in Memphis.
It is like new on the inside and out - should I avoid it.

Did the same back in Spring 2011 for my coach. Showed one owner, a repo and sold at auction but the dealer disclosed all that. It would be pretty rare to find coach maintenance records posted in CarFax. Who ever does the maintenance would need to be a participant in the program. Use the report to help determine where the coach was stored, which would normally be close to where it was registered then do a little weather history digging. Any flooding, hurricanes or such in it's life?

There's a bit of an additional risk not having maintenance records but you could minimize such by pulling an engine and transmission oil sample and having it analysed. There are also telltale signs to look for such as grease on the zerk fittings for the front end. Do the shocks look 11 years old? How much dirt and staining has accumulated on the coolant overflow tank? The headers are a bonus, same with the reflash chip but you could use the lack of service documentation to drive the price down due to the higher risk you're taking.

If the ONLY reason you're thinking of walking away is due to lack of maintenance records, then that's going to mean that many (!) coaches you might look at will be ones you "can't" buy.
As Sweetbriar mentioned get an oil analysis done, have coach and chassis inspections done, test/use/try EVERYTHING in the coach. If it all looks good then don't sweat not having the maintenance records.

Carfax seldom shows service entries. Sometimes accident Repairs. It's good for registration / ownership records. Agree with comments that you will seldom have complete maintenance records.

Have you overlaid the resale periods with zones and times of flooding/hurricanes?
