CB antenna location

I have 2013 Tiffin Pheaton and the owners manual says the CB antenna is under the dash in front of the driver seat. I’ve stood on my head looking and darn if I can find it. Any help out there?

I'll be interested in any responses too. I've also looked thoroughly, and can't find the cable. We've added a number of wires to the driver "A" post and behind the dash and still haven't found it.

Hmmm you will not get much range with an antenna located under the dash, are you certain the antenna is not on the roof?

I am pretty sure the OP is referring to the end of the cable coming from the roof mounted antenna, not the antenna itself.

Vsheetz

Oops, thanks, I should have put a smiley face or an LOL etc on my post - forgot to add the humor component.

We all know an antenna would never be placed under the dash. But if he had a tone signal tracer, it would be easy to fnd by putting the signal generator on the antenna and trace the routing with the probe.

Have found sooo many uses for my signal tracer, in RV,s Cars and around the house.

I know what you intended to say Budski, sorry my humor was not conveyed the first time

I know my coach is a lot older but my dash has a removable panel on top just above the gauge cluster and my coax I could see from there and was able to fish it out from underneath.

Thanks jeepfreak. I don't know about Budski, but I've had my entire gage cluster out looking and nothing behind there or above that area. There's a panel on the floor just to the left of the driver's left foot and when that's removed I found the lines to the trailer brake wires and a bunch of other things, but no coax. It was behind that panel that Tiffin said I '"should" be able to find the line, but nothing. Seems like I've spent more time upside down under the instrument panel than most trapeze artists spend inverted. (LOL)

Thanks Pigman, I'm going to Red Bay this winter to have 20 or so issues looked after. I'll be sure to ask Bob to point out the coax

I to am looking for the illusive end connector for my antenna (2012 Allegro Red). Hours spent upside down with no luck. I look forward to hearing from anyone who has found it!

We found the one in our neighbours coach on the passenger side of the doghouse tucked in under the rugs. I think the previous owner had shoved it in there to get it out of his way for some reason as it sure was a strange place for it to be.

Libero where did you get your tracer?

Go to Harbor Freight, Get a CABLE TRACKER,, Up at the antenna hook the transmitter part to any exposed metal

Now down under the dash start using the receiver.

When you get close to the end of the cable BEEP will happen.

IF you can hook it to the SHIELD of the coax. it will be easier to trace.

A Tiffin Tech found mine yesterday for me. It was behind the panel to the left of where my left foot would ride. (Driver side). Our cable is not standard coax. It seems to be very flexible and has a clear cover over a woven copper shield. There's a very large chrome coax connector on the end and is about of about 5 loops of cable tied up.

That's right. Remove the three screws holding the panel. It should be coiled up there. Took me hours as well!
