Chassis Batteries
2010 ISL 7 Cummins 425 HP
Engine chassis batteries seem to be down, tried using the Aux Start on the drivers panel with no results. Currently have the batteries on 10 amp overnight charge. Hoping they are not bad if they are does anyone have the replacement P/N for the chassis batteries?
Thanks

They would be a standard automotive battery. Someone here recently commented Cummins had starting batteries for, I think I, ~$75.00. Which would be a deal. Failing that I would consider Walmart EverStart batteries. I have moved, over time, all our engine start batteries to EverStart batteries. About $100.00, available and serviced at any Walmart, good warranty, and a good battery.

There is nothing special about the chassis batteries used by Tiffin other than being much bigger than the typical auto battery. Should they need replacing I would simply measure them, record the CCA rating (these are starting batteries not deep cycle) and then check around for prices. I would check NAPA first and use them For comparing other options.

yes the replacement number is a 31 series you can usually get the best deal at a hi volume truck repair centre as there used on almost all the Highway trucks so its extremely popular battery
you want them in the 900 CCA area. generally there around 85$ exchange

Well with six year old batteries anything is possible but before you throw money at it.......
On my gasser, in the 9 years before I had to throw money at it, 3 times I cleaned the connections.
Seems the manufacturer of the MH used the wrong type of terminal on the Positive post... The metal tarnished (To be expected with dissimilar metals meet) and needed cleaning.
When I replaced the battery.. I also re-wired with a proper connector.
