There are many things that can cause a delay.. For example just now there is a major storm in part of the country.
It is doubtful that the dealer gave your RV to a customer who was willing to pay more because he was in a hurry because it is doubtful that said customer wanted a RV exactly like the one you ordered.
Tiffin may have had a suppiy side issue (IE: Supplier of something on strike, or truck load of something gone astray or .. Well you get the idea) or gotten a bad batch of something and had to re-order.
Many factories now days use what is called "Just in time" ordering, That is where starting about 7:30 in the morning trucks pull in and unload parts and materials that will be used later that very day and long about 3PM empty trucks back in and load up outgoing goods.
It only takes a flat tire to mess up a system like that.
