Considering a used RED 38QBA- couple questions

It's a 2013 but had around 800 hours on the ONan 8000. Has around 17000 on the odometer. Not worried at all about the miles, but curious as to expects longevity of the Onan diesel gensets and what service would be coming up or needed to be done with that many hours? Also, for those with a Red, since the genset doesn't slide out how difficult is it to change oil? We currently have a 35qba and I like the ease of changing the oil myself on that unit.

Also, anything known about the coach as far as year/model that I need to look for that has been problematic? Thanks!

Well, as far as the genset goes, 800hrs comes up to like 20 weeks of use. I would rather have a genset that has 800hrs on it than one with like 25hrs. With a 2013 coach I would bet the old owners did a lot of dry camping. You could turn everything on and put that load to it or you could take it to an Onan dealer and have a load test put on it by them. Does the owners manual give you any insight how to do it. I am sure someone with a RED will chime in.
Or, and go here www.tiffinrvnetwork.com
