Converter/ Inverter Chatter

We have a 2005 Allegro Bay 38TDB. The second time using it, we were getting ready at home, I plugged it into my 20 amp garage outlet and the TrippLite would chatter and trip the GFCI. Our MH has had the original fridge replaced with a GE residential that I was trying to get cool. At the campground, plugged into 30 amp and trying to watch TV, the TV would kick off and back on. I checked the TrippLite and it was chattering. The next day, everything seemed fine. We are planning to stay in it for three months this winter and would like to know if we might need to do something before we go?

First ; as far as the issue at the house ; newer RV's with on board GFCI's don't play well when plugged into GFCI outlets at your house .
Tripping the house GFCI unit is almost the rule , rather than the exception.
Find a non GFCI outlet to plug into.

Now as far as the problem at the park ; question ?

You mentioned 30 amp power , is your coach 30 amp ; or 50 amp , and you were using an adapter?

What is the model of your Tripp Lite? I'm assuming it's your inverter/charger? Your house batteries? What voltage are you showing?

I believe the model is RV1250ULHW. We were plugged into 30 amp with adapter because that was all that was available. I was wondering if there could be a problem with internal automatic transfer since it was chattering. Our unit is a 2005 Allegro Bay, not sure if you would consider that a newer model.

OK that unit has an internal transfer switch that supplements your a/c power when you require more amps than the shore power is providing. When you're on 30A shore power you should be more cognizant of power usage and try and keep it below 30A or it will chatter and eventually trip if you exceed the combined shore power and battery bank limit.
