Correct Tire Pressure

We have looked on internet and tire tables, and all very confusing.

We have a 28 foot Tiffin Allegro Breeze, we think it is Gross weight of 22,000 LBS and once we have all on board, 30,000 LBS

What is correct tire PSI for Bridgestone tires?

Thank you

Inflate to what is printed on tbe Federal tire Placard inside the MH. You cannot guess about actual weight and use any tire load/inflation chart.

Ray is correct. To add, best is to get your RV weighed when it's loaded up for a trip & adjust your tire pressures to provide the ride you want.

We do not have a tire placard in the motorhome.

The weight is approximate.

Most show 90-110 PSI. Wondering what most do for PSI?

You are really overweight and dangerous with 30,000 lbs...

Motorhome says in manual the weight is 22,000 LBS, without water, passengers etc....

So, yes, 30,000 LBS is high, closer to 23,000 LBS.

This is our first motorhome, and we had for a couple of months...

Thank you for your help.

What we use will not be what you should use. Get your MH weights front and rear axle and then set tire pressure.

Those numbers are wrong in so many ways.

Gross Weight is the MOST your vehicle can weigh with everything loaded in it.

You are thinking of unloaded weight.

The weights of RVs are in 10s of thousands of lbs, not thousands of lbs.

And there is a Tire and Loading information sticker on your RV. For a class C it is probably on the door jam. For a Class A it could be anywhere.

ok, thank you.

This is all very new for us.

I was hoping to see someone with the same size MH - 28 feet and see what they have.

After lots of reading, the information I am finding is inconsistent in many areas....

I am going to call Tiffin and see what suggest for our size MH.

OK, time for some real bonafide education. There are many folks trying to be helpful, but pass erroneous information.

To start - there should be a sheet posted somewhere with load information. Usually near the driver, sometimes in a closet. The tire pressure listed is the recommended pressure for a full load. This includes full water tanks, and all waste tanks empty. Full fuel, full propane, driver and passenger.

That being said, you have Bridgestone tires, which are not the original tires. Which model? What size?

Short term recommendation is to get weighted with full water and fuel tanks at a Cat Scale. Add 10% to the weight, and look up the pressure for your tires. This will do until you can get a proper 4 corner weigh (and may be all you decide to get).

I have attached the Bridgestone tire book to make it easier for you.

Post again, if you have questions.

Cheers,

Dave

You didn't say what year your Breeze is. According to the Tiffin website, 2015 was the last year for the 28br. The weights on that are as follows:
GVWR=22,000 lbs
GCWR-26,000 lbs
Tires=265/70R19.5

Again, find your tire placard, get your coach weighed & go from there. We can make all sorts of guesses based on the info you gave us, but it's not going to be as accurate as getting an actual weight of your coach. It's not hard to find a CAT scale.
