The article mentions a "new line" of Tiffin RV's.

I'm not aware of any "new" line, but am guessing that it will replace the current engine in the Breeze. It seems to be sized about right for those coaches.

from what I've read Tiffin probably is redoing the Breeze not just swaping out the engine, I think that's where the new line comes from. Dave

Fingers crossed for a 40 gallon black tank...then I'd really have to re-think a Breeze!

Do you all see this engine going into a Tiffin DP or will it be the first FRED since the recession caused all makers to dump the Freightliner FRED and MC-L?
Freightliner Motorhome Chassis ? MC-L Chassis
Freightliner Motorhome Chassis ? FRED Chassis

A DP makes no sense since the ISB fits in the rear with no issues on SO many smaller DP's.
And this Cummins reps is specifically talking FRED...I guess only time will tell:

Safe travels

The one photo that has been shown of the 2016 Breeze is a DP configuration. Since Tiffin makes the chassis for the Breeze, a DP makes sense as the Cummins is a swap for the Navistar currently used. Still about 2 months from release, however.

The V8 sits lower in the chassis and is the perfect replacement for the previous V8. Its probably lighter than an ISB also.

We recently bought a 2007 Allegro Bay QDB FRED and my husband loves this Cummins engine! You couldn't want a better engine in a 37ft chassis. I would like to see them bring back the FRED.
