Dealer lot vs special order pricing

DW and I are considering the 36LA. Can one expect as much discount off of the MSRP when purchasing out of inventory compared to a factory order?

If I may ask what have current Tiffin owners experienced?

On a special order there is no dealer flooring cost; does the dealer take that into consieration with negotiating?

Thank you for your insights.

You should be able to get 25% off the MSRP with a factory order. There are Tiffin dealers who routinely honor this pricing with an order. If you would like to know who the better dealers are, go to tiffinrvnetwork.com, register, and go to the dealer section. People share their experience with dealer network all of the time.

If you are working with a local dealer who doesn't want to bend on price, by all means remind him that he will not have floor planning costs to deal with on a factory order. Also remind them that there is a dealer X miles away from you that will get the sale if they don't want to negotiate. If you have a trade-in leave it out of the discussion until you have a price on the new motorhome, then discuss it.
