We have a 2006 Allergro and the decals are shrinking and pealing off. I was thinking of trying to replace them. Does anyone had experience doing this, and what removal products are recommended? I was told that poor quailty vinyl used for making the decals is the problem for the shrinking and cracking. The bus looks like new except for the shabby decals on it.

I do not know where you are located, but I was at the Good Sam Rally in Redman Ore, July of 2011. I talked to a you man there who would remove the old stripes and 'paint on new stripes' for a cost of 2 to 3 K. This is for your info for another option.

The decals (graphics) on our 04 Phaeton on the PS were in poor condition when we bought it. Tiffin had replacements in stock but pricey ($1800 or so), plus you had to pay someone to remove and install = $3000 +/-.

We planned a trip to Red Bay after we got a referral and spoke with Bruce at Custom Paint and Body (256-356-5695). Removed decals and paint them back on. Outstanding job for about $3K!

Good guy, good crew, great job!

My Decal on my 2012 Tiffin Breeze was missing a letter. I will ask the dealer just how they go about replacing it. It is in the shop now. I was told today it is being ordered.

I think $3,000 is a lot of money but might be a good buy if you were selling your coach. Depending on your "talent" you could probably repaint yourself

Some of my decals have pealed back and left an impression shadow or something thus if the decals are removed you would have an obvious layout you could tape. There is a new tape that replaces the blue painting take that is supposed to be quite good.

The decals can come off with a heat gun and the use of some decal remover. Search the net and you will find all kinds of ideas including using brake fluid but there are commercial products. Maybe even Goof Off.

The coach is fiberglass thus a non porous surface which is not great as the issue is getting the paint to stick so I am not sure what type of paint can be used but there is a paint available at Lowes and Home Depot made for plastic PLUS they will also mix any color you want and put it in a spray can.

Lottsa cars are now plastic so the type of paint needed is available.

My plan is to start with a small area... let it be exposed for several months and decide then what to do.
