Diesel Storage

We stored our diesel pusher in August and are not using it again for a long trip until July, so 11 months. I take it out for a good drive and u to temperature every month but don't use too much diesel. I always top it off and keep it filled with sta-bil diesel stabilizer and sta-bil biocide. I am in south florida, the rig is under cover and always shaded but not climate controlled. Am I ok with the diesel fuel being in there for 11 months? If not, I guess my only option is to take a 1000 mile trip somewhere to use up the diesel and refill the 150 gallon tank but don't really want to do that just for the sake of emptying the fuel tank. Thanks for your help.

It will be just fine. Fuel does not go sour like gas.

Diesel WILL go bad in that is grows algae and creates condensation.

Using Sta-Bil and keeping the tank full are the 2 best preventive measures you can take.

Storing for 11 months should be no problem.

Best luck

Fairly unfamiliar with Diesel engines. I understand there may be some issues with the DEF fluid with long Storage. True?

Thanks, Dave

No real problems with DEF although it has a use by date. Storing for the length of time the OP posted is unusual. Most storage situations are 3-4 months (winter or camping over the winter). In those cases, there are no problems.
