Because our new coach came with a "traveler" dish ant. that is programed for DirecTV, we dropped DISH "Hopper"at home and subscribed to DirecTV, planning to take the receiver from home and use it in coach. My question is "which" receiver do I need in the coach, the "Genie DVR receiver" or will the small "client" receiver they provided for the bedroom TV do the job, without the Genie? Or, do I need both in the coach?

No MH here but we have DirecTV. Genie DVR on main floor, small client upstairs and small client in basement. Both clients "talk" to main DVR. All recording and channel reception done at main DVR. Clients only talk to main DVR for shows, recorded lists, etc. No main DVR, no watching on clients. Clients are more like an extension of the main DVR. Hope this helps!

Yes. Thanks, that is what I was thinking but the installer was clueless when I asked.
