Dish Satellite or Traveller?

I am in the process of ordering a new Tiffin coach and I am debating whether to order the Dish rooftop satellite or just have the coach prewired for the Traveler dish and purchase it in the aftermarket. Any pros or cons versus one or the other? With four televisions in the coach, how many different channels can I watch at the same time on Dish Network versus the Traveller. Since Tiffin only provides on receiver in the coach do I need more receivers to watch different channels at the same time? I talked to Customer Service at Dish regarding the number of receivers I would need and they knew less about the subject than I did. Any help would be appreciated.

Huh? The Winegard Travler is a satelite dish. It is configured for either Dish or Directv.
Depending on what receiver you choose you could only need wiring to one location. The Dish Hopper and a number of Joeys allow all but the main TV to be connected wirelessly.
The real down side to any roof top dish whether a dome or open faced is if you park many places trees could block your signal. IMHO you would be better off getting a portable automatic dome. One that you can place out in the open.
Winegard Travlers have some serious issues. I had to have mine repaired twice and replaced once. Each repair required I take it off the roof, box it up and ship it to Winegard. Shipping costs alone ran about 300 dollars. RFMogul is a better product, yes a bit more expensive, but at least it can be repaired on your MoHo.

if you get the dome antenna, you will be limited to one channel at a time on a satellite receiver. You can use a second receiver to watch a second channel, but both have to be on the same satellite. If you go with the Trav'ler, you can watch one channel and record another with a Wally equipped with a hard drive or record two channels at one time. Since the Trav'ler is a triple LNB antenna, it receives all three satellites at one time. If you want to watch two different channels on separate TVs, then you will need a second receiver. Some use a Hopper and Joey system which will give you more channels of recording plus will also give you picture in picture capability. The downside to a Hopper is if you are blocked by trees, you can't use a portable dome antenna with it.
