Door Paddle Handle
After I unlock my door and pull the paddle handle it doesn’t respond well and feels like the door will not open. The lock seems to be Ok, but I’m concerned that eventually it will not open as it seems to stick.
Any suggestions as to a fix, do I need to lubricate it?

Yes, those do need a little lube, maybe a spray lithium grease or something similar, lift the handle and look under it you will see what needs greased.

The internal parts of the lock may also need adjustment. There are several push rods which can be adjusted to make the lock operate easier. Remove the cover on the inside of the door to access this area.

Take off the panel on the indid of the door and remove any slack in the linkage by adjusting the turnbuckles

My Tiffin door was extremely tight as well. It took about 6 months for the loose to loosen up and get broke in. Tight seals.

Mine was built 17 Dec 2017 so it falls outside the recall window. However when I got the coach the tight door was one of our chit items. They actually shaved 1/4 inch off of the bumper and that helped.

Nick,
Glad that worked. My issue, I was away from coach for several days, wife could not get into coach, handle seemed to work ok but catch would not release. No issues after taking out the slack on that linkage.

PTL Engineering is the manufacturer for the Tiffin doors. They have a few videos that address adjusting the door handles and replacing components. I actually called PTL to ask a few questions and they connected me to Jason Jenuwine; engineer for the doors. He was great; very professional.
