2011 Allegro Bus - Retracted slide last night - no problem. This morning it will not extend. Motor running, brake on, batteries all appear to be up to charge, inverter operating & plugged in to 50 amp. Checked breakers in rear passenger compartment - turned all off and back on. Restarted engine and NO Result????

What next??

Driver's seat forward & locked in place.

Try resetting the brake. Had that happen to me once. If that doesn't do it I would check for a bad electrical connection on the slide motor. Lived through that one as well.

I hope you have gotten the situation fixed by now but here is some more information. There is a ignition solenoid located (on our Phaeton) in the bay underneath the drivers side which also ties into the electric DS slide. You need to check the connections for tightness. If a nut is lose the result will be what you indicate. If the nut is tight then rap on the solenoid lightly with a screwdriver handle. These solenoids can stick open or closed. There are three solenoids in our bay so while you are there, I suggest you check the tightness on all of them just as a precaution against further problems. Friend of ours had bells and whistles going off intermittantly and finally located his problem - the nut on the solenoid was gone completely!

It is probably the 50 amp relay in the basement compartment mentioned above. On my 05 Bus, this relay also controls rear camera monitor and dash 12 volt power outlets. Mine worked intermittently until I found the problem. Replaced it with a similar one from NAPA for under $20. Suggest you take old with you to match up to new. Mine required some minor repositioning for mounting only.

Is this a hydraulic or cable or rack and pinion type slide.

Power Gear rack and pinions like to eat shear pins.

If this is the issue you should hear the motor run. epically if you are outside and down BELOW the slide (Well below) you may even see the drive shaft turn but the gears and thus the slide do not move. There are 4 shear pins, perhaps 5 but the 5th will not shear.
