Drop hitch receiver

Hello!

Those of you that tow a vehicle behind a late model Tiffin Allegro (15-18)

How much of a drop did you need to keep the tow bar parallel to the ground?

We're picking up a 32SA soon and I'd like to order one before hand if possible.

Looking forward to becoming a Tiffin owner!
thanks!

I would be interested in that as well. We currently have a 4 inch drop from out Class C and have a 37PA to pick up soon.

Varies with the toad if course. Most drop 0" to 4" methinks. Best yo get the rv and toad together and see what us needed.

I have 6" riser. Tow a lifted jeep from its bumper.

Buy a quality high/low such as from blue ox or other major manufacturer. Don't get a cheapie like from Harbor Freight. Imho.

2017 Phaeton with stock 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport Unlimited here. 2” drop which made towbar level.

Depends on your tow vehicle and your tow bar. All Tiffins seem to be about 21.5" to the center of the receiver (diesels need to have their suspension aired up). So what is the vehicle you are towing? What is the height of the connection pins above ground? Which tow bar will you be using? (Demco towbars are adjustable up to three inches).

My suggestion is you don't buy anything until you get the car ready and then order what you need, if anything.

agreed.... you'll not really know until you pull your vehicle up behind you RV on a flat level surface.... plus, most Tractor and Farm supply stores have drop/inversion hitch adapters, or even Walmarts and auto parts stores.

I got a Roadmaster 6" drop hitch for my 2014 Tiffin Allegro 36 LA for towing my CRV
It brought it level for towing......Tiffin = 21.5" and CRV = 15.5"

21.5 is actually the number I was looking for. Now I can measure my pins and see if I am close or not.
Thanks

When I towed the Chevy HHR I used a 6" drop with a steel wheel on the bottom. With the 2015 Colorado I don't need any, it is level.

I believe the Ford chassis hitch height is higher than the diesel chassis.

We use a 6" drop to tow our Chevy Sonic with our SA32.
Towing equipment is Blue OX.

I use a 4” drop for my 2017 Jeep Wrangler. Tow bar is pretty level.
