Dumping air bags

We went on a 6 week trip with 3 other rigs .One of the others told me that I needed to dump my air bags each time we got to an RV park. I have a 2008 Phaeton. I have never dumped air , Am I supposed to manually dump the air bags or is it automatic?

You need to read your HWH manual. It sounds like you're just manually putting your jacks down instead of letting the system work automatically. When operated automatically the system dumps the air bags and then levels the coach by extending the jacks.

On my Zephyr, I manually dump the airbags, then if necessary, I use the hydraulic leveling. If I am just staying overnight like a Wallmart/Casino parking lot, I use just the Hadley air leveling if the parking lot is level enough, which they usually are.
