Empty space above the Norcold

In my Wayfarer I pulled off the blank drawer front above the Norcold refrigerator. It's held on by some hardware that the drawer front snaps into. All I did was use my fingers to pry it off. I found an empty drawer size space.

So I'm wondering why Tiffin didn't put a drawer up there. There is no heat or venting from the Norcold, so why can't I use it to store snacks etc...? Plus makes somewhat of a hiding spot.

I'd go ahead and do it, just make sure you aren't making it hard to pull the fridge at a later date.

I used that area to mount display panels that I wanted to easily see from inside the coach. My BW floor plan either has things in the bedroom closet up above the coat hangers or down by the entry steps. Like Goldilocks, that dead space above the fridge looks just right...

Best,
-Mark
