financing 2000 tiffin allegeo

I am having problems with financing a 2000 tiffin allegro for 39k.

My credit score is 790, but every where I have checked, they will not finance a motor home older than 15yrs old.

Ideas??

As always, thank u for everyone's help

I understand that credit unions are a place to check. Even if you are not a member most will let you join. Good luck

You can get financing but usually the rate is outragous. Just get a home improvement loan on the house

We financed our 2003 Tiffin Allegro Bay through Good SAMs - have you tried this club?

Credit unions are good, but beware if you ever need to refinance the purchase. I bought my 2002 Allegro Bus in 2006 with a $100K credit union loan. Two years later when I got divorced and needed to get my ex-wife off the loan, they told me I would have to pay an extra $16K because in their opinion the RV was then worth that much less than the remaining loan balance. The Kelly Blue Book and other online valuations I checked said it was worth over $110K, but the CU loan officer said they had their own valuation method and that was that. I ended up taking out a mortgage on my house instead to payoff the original CU loan.

If the OP lives in a state like Alabama, then Good Sams and Essex are not available to him. Banking laws. Nobody at the commission can give a reason other than, "...it is what it is."

CU or HELOC are it around here.
