Fluid problem update

Looks like heating cord leaking
And causing engine to overheat, and low water lights to come on

Total damage $2,230 to replace cord and 10 hrs of labor.

Guess the good news, didn't fry the engine

What us a heating cord you reference? The warming heater that is used for diesel engines in winter?

Or do you mean heating core, which is in the front dash and provides heat to the front dash vents?

Model and year of your coach?

This type of leak is a great reason to have shutoff/bypass valves in the dash heater circuit back near the engine. Failure of a $300 heater core and/or 80 feet of aging coolant pipes/hoses can destroy a $30,000+ engine. Some engines require constant flow through the heater coolant circuit, and those models should have a bypass between the heater lines so that coolant can continue to flow as if the heater were still in the loop. It'll get you home, where the repair cost can be greatly reduced. The downside is that you lose the use of the windshield defogger until you fix the coolant leak. Small beans in my book.

Heating Core, okay. I have replaced a couple of those on my older auto's, never had to do a motorhome.
