2006 Tiffin 40' QSP Allegro Bus - The MMDC has two displays; one is the 24 status indicator screen and the other the engine Message Center. At random, while driving down the road, the Message Center goes blank and the status screen starts rapidly flashing each of the 24 lights from top/left to top/right, then bottom/right to bottom/left, then reverses, then does this sequence over and over again. Checked for loose wiring, but didn't find anything. Anyone have similar issue?

I don't have that problem. But I have a MMDC message center OEM display that works fine I will loan you to see if that is the problem. It is easy to replace the existing and try it. If it fixes your problem, make me an offer for purchase. PM me.
I replaced my OEM with the newer model display that is much easier to see whilst traveling.

Thanks, Yudaman. I did get a response from an email I sent to Freightliner service; it appears to be the main computer unit rather than the displays. Below is the response. I'll be taking it in for testing/repair.

Hi Ralph,
This is an indication that the MMDC has stopped communicating with e light bar/info center. Any Freightliner dealer should be able to look at it. The closest to San Jose is Golden Gate Truck in Oakland.

Ralph, the display has a push on cable connector that ties it to the control harness. It is readily accessible from the access port on the front side of the dash in front of the steering wheel, between steering wheel and windshield. I would get in there and check that the connectors are tightly attached before doing anything else.

Had a problem much like yours. Lights looked like "kit the car". Found bad connection in the plug area as previous posted said.
Good luck................

Yes, I did try the connectors on both end. No luck. Guess it has to go in the shop for analysis. You're right on the Kit Kar look on the dash. I still think it has to be a connector problem, but Freightliner suggested the MMDC might need replacement. Will let you know when I get this figured out.

Thanks for the insights.

Ralph
