Gas gauge

I checked my fuel mileage on my Open Road 32sa gaser. Full to full I got 9.233 mpg. Take 9.233 X 80 gallon tank = 728.64 miles. Now at full tank the gauge reads 568 miles to empty.

My two cents on this: The miles to empty is based on the average MPG from the day the rubber hit the road! Without knowing how many miles you have "down the road" or the year of your coach to guesstimate, I'll assume the discrepancy is due to the difference between the overall average and your calculation from your RECENT accounting of your full tank to full tank measures.

Wow! 9.233? Must have been coming down the mountain with a tail wind! Good job.

That's what I average.Down south it's always 10 to 10.5. 60 mph is the trick. Tractor trailers pull me down the road.
