When using the hands-free, Blue-Tooth connection while talking on my cell phone, people on the other end of the phone connection have a hard time hearing me. Does anyone know where the microphone for the hands-free cell phone blue-tooth connection is located?

Mine is clipped at the very bottom of the front dash near my right knee. Doesn't work well at all. Picks up a lot of noise. I've been looking at moving it but not sure where and the wire is very short. Will probably do a bluetooth earpiece.

It's where SW4UA said it is (or at least it should be there).

It's a horrible location for it.

I pulled mine out (lots of cable on it; probably a good 6 to 9 feet) and have it on a box on top of my dashboard where I also mounted my SIRIUS & CB. Your cable is probably all wound up and tied off somewhere, but it is long enough to pull out and use in different locations.

An alternate location might be to route it out the left hand side of the dash (there are some small opening it can fit through) and use it there.

I think the center of the dash area is a better place so your copilot can use it too.

I intend to get a lapel clip for mine (one comes w/the radio but apparently Tifin doesn't pass it on to us.

One caution: if you pull the radio from the dash beware that the GPS antenna cable is short and is likely going to pull loose. If it is anything like the few I've had experience with, you're going to have to make an extension to plug that antenna back in.

Good luck.
