Height 32 open rd

has anyone noticed the height of their ford chassis. I just moved my 2011 32' open rd to a new covered stg lot where there were over 40
rvs stored so without any concern about height I pulled into my spot
and scraped my satellite on the roof cross beem. I discovered the hard way that my open rd is almost a foot higher then most other rvs. the wife cannot reach all of the cabinets and I have to stand on a box to clean the mirrors.
can tiffin justify the reason for this precarious height increase or is it ford that has created the issue?

Did the interior and exterior of the rig grow since you and your wife bought it???

I haven't noticed that the 2012 32CA we just got is any higher than other Class A's. At 4'10" my wife needs a stool, even to see the mirror in bathroom. Dave

I can walk under the outside mirrors on mine and I couldn't on the rig we had prior. I actually like that because I kept hitting my head on the mirrors on the old rig. Yes mine is about a foot taller that my old rig. It's noticeable on the inside as my wife can't open the vents, or even turn on the fans. I guess that's what I'm there for. It doesn't seem to bother her.

We have the same coach & while it does set a little high, I like it that way. I don't hit my head on the mirrors, & just a short step stool is all that is needed to clean them. I have a 2' Firestick CB antenna on the roof (with a spring) and from the tip of the antenna to the ground is just a hair under 13'6". So it is all good. The storage facility you are using must have a low beam in it to hit the satellite.
Driving these things we all have to be aware of low clearances.

I am aware of the problems with height but when I saw all of these other units already parked I figured no problem. like to know why the added height.

I recently compared The Allegro 2014 32CA to a Newmar. The Tiffin is on a 22,000 GVWR chassis, the Newmar on a 20,500 chassis. If the heavier chassis is a little larger web on the I beam this could make a little difference. The Tiffin is a 22.5 tire, the Newmar is a 19.5 as I recall. There is a little more difference. The Tiffin has an interior height of 83.5", the Newmar 80", a 3.5" difference here. Finally, the specs show Tiffin at overall height of 12'10", Newmar 12' 4". Yep, the Tiffin is higher. Hope this helps.
