I have a surge guard Model 34750 and it suggests I have power from the pole but I have no power in the motorhome, a tiffin allegro bay fred 37qdb - I reset the breakers I know about
is there a master breaker for the motorhome beacause all I can find is a panel in the bedroom but no breaker appears to be a master
Help as we are powerless in NH in Irene...

Here are just some obvious things to check as I wasted about 30 minutes this morning during Irene in NJ when I didnt' check that the GFI button was reset.
1. Do you have any lights? If not, there should be a coach disconnect button near the front entrance door or steps.
2. Reset every GFI in the coach.
3. Does your inverter have a display and control panel. Make sure the inverter is on. (mine sometimes turns off and says 'bad AC').
4. Your genset should have a circuit breaker switch right by the on/off switch ON the genset (not by the on/off switch in the coach).
5. The inverter has a push button circuit breaker right on the chassis. Check that.
Good luck!

I'm not aware of Tiffin having a master breaker other than the ones in the main box, but then again, our coach is several years old so yours may be different.
The surge guard will shut down power if there is a fault condition such as reversed polarity, missing ground, high or low voltage. There should be a readout or indicator lights on the surge guard that indicates if fault has occurred. If there are no warnings, try plugging in without the surge guard to see if you have power.
The other possibility is the transfer switch is faulty. You should hear a soft thump coming from the electrical bay a few seconds after you plug in. That would be the sound of the transfer switch kicking on. If you don't hear a thump, try running the genset to see if you have power.

Generator works fine...Surge protected flashes for 10 seconds and then goes out I am beginning to think the power out of the pole is faulty

if your generator is working and supplying power to the rv than its either shore power or the relay i would be suspicious of the shore power, we had a similar problem in Chicago power appeared OK but would only run one ac and couldn't run the washer or 2nd ac Generator ran every thing fine next stop everything worked fine and ever since'
I figured bad ground and was glad the rv didn't burn to the ground

As it turns out it was the shore power... as Irene blew through the voltage in the shore line exceeded 132 volts and our surge protector is designed to shut down when it hits this threshold... it would blink 8-10 seconds and thenshow we had shore power but would stop it before it got to the coach... looks like we jsut paid for that investment!

Sounds like that small investment paid off for you. Glad to hear no lasting issues! My surgeguard has bailed me out twice in the 3 years I've had it!
