House Battery Not Charging

I have a 98 Tiffin Allegro RV. One of the house batteries is not charging. I've looked at schematics and dont see how it is connected to charge from the alternator. Should both batteries charge from the alternator or does one charge from the generator only?

house battery not charging

From my experience most house batteries are charged by the power converter and this happens whenever you are running your gen set or plugged in to shore power.

In some applications the RV will have a battery isolator and this device will allow your alternator to charge your house batteries but it will not allow the house batteries from being drained my the motor, headligts...etc.

if you only have 1 battery then it may be an issue with the power converter. if you have 2 batteries and only one does not charge, it may be a wiring issue.
