how to winterize residential refrigerator

We purchased a 2012 Phaeton with the residential refrigerator in August. What is the procedure for winterizing the fridge to include the icemaker and the water dispenser ? Thanks.

Good question. We are lucky enough to go somewhere warm in winter but did the winterization for many years. We replaced RV fridge with a residential model this summer and I wondered the same thing.

The procedure for the Norcold RV fridge ice maker was to shut off the water and run one cycle of cubes. Never seemed like good enough for me but did work.

If you fill the lines with RV antifreeze I suppose you could run it through the dispenser but I'm not sure how you would handle the ice maker.

The manual for our Allegro Bay had the procedure for winterizing our Norcold (not residential) refrigerator, so I would assume the manual for the Phaeton would tell you how to winterize the residential model. After all, the residential refrigerator is standard. Have you looked in the Tiffin manual?

There appears to be nothing specific to the water dispenser or the ice maker. At this point, I will probably just run RV antifreeze into both.
