Probably a bad valve allowing the fluid to leak back into the reservoir if you are not seeing hydraulic fluid leaking somewhere. Since it is a 2011 Tiffin call them and they will make it right.

I don't have a Tiffin but do have the same issue with the same jack on my rig... in fact it sometimes needs a little push with my hand to completely retract. I think HWH actually claims that taking up to several minutes to retract is "normal". I've had some success using a silicone spray on the jacks but since it's a new rig I'd let my dealer work it out.

Good luck...

Rick

Rick...I think his problem is the jack was going up on its own. When he didn't want it to go up.

I would go along with the #2 answer of bad valve.

Sorry guys. My eyes read the words but the old brain sees what it wants to see I guess.

I agree with jfran304 - it sounds like the solenoid has an internal leak. I believe HWH warranty is 2 years parts and labor, and parts only for the third year. You should have no problem getting the jack repaired either by your dealer, by Tiffin or by HWH.

Thanks, for all replies called shop and it goes in on 8-31. I think paz is correct there seems to be a small leak, for how slow it goes up, Thanks all.

Have you checked the fluids? My HWH jacks stopped working and it was a combination of a bad valve (3 months old) and low fluid. The fluid check location is directly in back of the electronic panel.

Tiffin had to replace one of the solenoids.
