Exclamation Inverter/Waterpump Failure

House batteries not charging, inverter stays on for only 3 seconds before clicking off, and water pump causes interior lights to dim while making unfamiliar noise.
No tripped breakers
Any idea what’s wrong?

Inverter: Tripp-Lite Alternative Power Source RV750ULHW
This happened on the way home from a long trip. Doesn’t affect chassis System, only house.

Bad isolation relay ( solenoid ).

When engine is running, isolation relay closes to let the Chassis charging system also charge the house batteries. When relay is bad, no charging happens.

It is also used as the boost relay, so find it by hitting the boost switch on and off while listening for it to clunk.

As a test, If you hold the boost relay switch on, the house batteries should show higher voltage. If it clunk and no increase in volts, the relay is bad. Very common failure item.

Or, you have a bad high current fuse in that cable. My coach has a fuse on each end of that cable. They are typically 300 or 400 amps and can be made by bussman.

You would need to almost be welding with the cables to blow a 400 amp fuse. There would be signs of heavy sparking someplace.
