leaky shower drain

Hi everybody we own a 36la and the shower drain was leaking, stopped at Walmart and got some plumbers putty loosened large black plastic screw raised up drain and installed the putty. worked good for about two days, but when we are in shower it breaks the seal, is there a special type of silicon that i should use.

That shower drain should be tight to the shower base. Maybe the drain fitting is stripped and needs to be replaced.

I did a quick search on shower drains and it looks like there is one
