location of toilet paper holder 2012 open road allegro

hi, we have a 2012 allegro open road and we are wondering if anyone has relocated the toilet paper holder in the bathroom. ours came installed next to toilet on left side. everytime we close the toilet lid, the toilet paper roll comes flying off. even the rod on the holder comes off. does anyone else have this problem? any fixes? thank you

We have a 2011 and yes I moved the holder from the same place yours is to the wall just forward of the door opening. So as you are sitting there the holder is on your left side in front of you. No problem in moving, just a couple of screws and your done. Used a wood filler pen to hide the holes from the spot we moved it from and it hid the holes very well.

Have the same problem but have not moved it yet. Be sure you find a support behind the thin wood wall to put screws in to. For now we are just sitting roll of toilet paper to the right on top of the bathroom countertop.

We had the Tiffin builders put ours under the left hand bathroom sink cabinet at the factory when we were watching them build it. Have it mounted about 1/3 of the way down in the center of the door.

Has anyone thought to give tiffin a real roasting about such a poor bit of design and make them fix the problem

On our 32CA it is mounted on the inside of the left hand vanity door. Nice, out of the way place.

Isnt it amazing that something as simple as that would be allowed to be installed with all of the enginering that goes into RV's ?
We previously owned a Trek and absolutely loved that little coach............until it was time to change the water filter located under a 45 degree corner kitchen sink ALL the way on the back wall, UNDER the lowest shelf setting 39 inches BACK on the wall. there was no way to get to it short of cutting an outside door. What a concept

I only commented because there are 2011 owners and 2012 owners complaining about the same thing on this thread - so how many owners are out there either complaining to everyone other than the manufacturer whose responsibility it is, or meekly fixing it themselves and putting up with unsightly screw holes in a wall.

Maybe even an email to the CEO with a link to this thread would save future owners from the same silly fault.

We have a TT and a Class-C and neither has a good place for the TP holder. No matter where we want to put them, they're in the way. So for now and probably forever, the TP be sitting next to the commode in one spot or another without a holder.

Sometimes need to think in three dimensions and instead of mounting the holder such that you need to be a contortionist to reach it, consider somewhere up a lot higher than usual.

Thought you might be interested in a forum thread that seems to contradict the above statement. location of toilet paper holder 2012 open road allegro

Well maybe not, but I did hear from Lex Tiffin

Mr. Lee, We have corrected on most all models. We did find this still happening on one line and have corrected immediately. These are to be on the door. We do apologize for your issue. If we can help you in any way please call me at 1-256-356-8661-2231 Sincerely, Lex Tiffin
so no-one else should have the same problems.

I have to say that I wouldn't know an Allegro MH if I ran into one, but if this little demonstration of good service that I have experienced is any indication of the attitude of the company itself, then owners should be happy with their purchases.
