Looking for a "pre owned" Phaeton 40QBH

Sold our signature line coach and now the search is on for our replacement.
We've looked across every line of class A diesel and keep coming back to the qbh as we prefer bath + half and opposing couches. Looking for recommendations of issues to look out for, any other input appreciated. Found a 2011 w/a Powerglide chassis, anyone know if that came w/the independent front suspension?

I'm pretty sure the Powerglide is an IFS coach. We have a 2011 40 QTH on a Freightliner. Drives like a dream FWIW.

The PowerGlide chassis is Tiffin's inhouse design and construction. Has a couple of benefits over the more common Freightliner series in particular the independent front end and a side radiator which makes access to the engine for maintenance much easier. I can't recall if they build Phaetons on it. Might be an option. Normally you'll see the higher end Allegro Bus series and Zephyr on the PowerGlide.

Tiffin had a couple of issues a few years back with fiberglass cracks along the roofline and the floor rotting in the wet bay area but haven't read of anyone posting having the same problems in quite a while. Generally well made rigs but not perfect but then no manufacture is. They are on my short list with Newmar for the next and last rig I plan to own. If you get the chance head south into northern Alabama to tour the factory. You'll be stepping around workers building coaches.

The Phaeton is available on the Powerglide chassis, at least back until 2011 because I've seen my coach on a Powerglide.

The issues you speak of are the "big 3". Radius roof cracks, wet bay floor and driver's side slideout floor. Most of those issues were corrected by 2012 or earlier. I have a 2011 that has none of those issues.

We searched long and hard for our next DP and Tiffin was at the top of our list for features and serviceability (Red Bay). We love our Phaeton. It's absolutely beautiful and drives like a dream. I always liked Newmar's also but could not get my wife on board. She just didn't like the interiors.

Tiffin is now building the 40IH and 44OH Phaetons on the Power Glide chassis and all other models are Freightliner. The Phaeton chassis do not have a side radiator, only the Bus and Zephyr.

The powerglide chassis on the Bus is IFS. The Phaetons are not except for the 40IH and 44OH. These started last year.
