Looking for Tiffen Diesel

Wanting to move up to a diesel, no longer than 38 ft. Looking for 2014 or older, suggestions on models would be appreciated.

I'd start by looking at the current Tiffin website, to understand the diesel product line and floorplans. You don't mention price range, floorplan desires, or features desired.

Models and sizes vary by year, but generally
- Breeze, smallest of the product line 28to 32' long, min slides
- RED, 33 to 38 feet
- Phaeton, typically 36 to 40, couple 42/44 tag
- Bus, 37 to 45, most seem to be 45's and 40's

- Then there are some 45' Zephyrs, megabucks and fewer sold

- Since you want no more than 38, I'd suggest start looking at the RED floorplan and features and prices, and explore up or down from there. Good luck in your hunt. Actual feet is typically 1-2 feet more than the model number, for instance my 33 is actually 35'2" feet long. Typically anything up to 40 is single rear axle, anything over that is a tag.

Looking for Tiffen Diesel

Thanks Kiawah. Wanting to trade a 15 BayStar gasser. Wanting to stay under 150,000 price range. Exploring floor plans. Would prefer 37-38 ft.

Thumbs up

Small, small, small.
I am a Tiffin fan and owner because of the 28BR, which as far as I know is the only DP under 30 feet in length.
It is also almost a foot more narrow and less tall than traditional DPs and gets 11.5 MPG.
I love the quiet ride and open space up front, and it is a very smooth driver.
Who needs two bathrooms?
Who needs to not be able to fit in their own driveway for storage?
Who needs to take up more than two parking spaces on the street?
Who needs a residential fridge that can't run off propane?
Who needs to be excluded from mall parking lots because they can't fit in tandem parking spaces?
Who needs to be unable to U-turn in a small culdesac?
Who needs to be excluded from hundreds of state and national parks?

We purchased a 2015 earlier this year for way below your price range.

- Apparently the front end steering in the 28BR was significantly upgraded in 2013 to address stability issues while driving.
- This model is no longer available and has been superseded by the Allegro Breeze 31BR and 32BR, both of which have 2 or 4 sliders, are 34 feet long, and would never fit in my driveway.

After I chose the model and year range I felt I needed, it took several months to find the right coach. Please do your research and be patient, and good luck. I can't wait to see what you end up with.

- Best, David

We bought it last year ( new) It was the last 16 on the lot and got a great deal on it. Ours has the 360 Hsp engine with the Allison 3000 trans & 10,000 lb hitch capacity . The earlier years had the 340 hsp engine Allison 2500 with only 5000 lb hitch. I knew I might want to tow more than a jeep wrangler someday so I sprung for the newer coach with more torque.
