HWH.com has a FAQ page that answers questions about their jack maintenance. Perhaps the most important HWH rule (#43) is "never use hydraulic jack oil, brake fluid or power steering fluid in our system". Slide-Seal lube spray is what I use on our seals.

You can use WD-40 to clean off the rams. Spray a bunch on and then wipe it off with a cloth. The rams are self-lubed when they are retracted. Other than a cleaning, nothing else needs to be done.

You can buy genuine HWH fluid to refill your reservoir and it will only cost you an arm, a leg and your firstborn, or you can go to the local auto supply store and get a quart of Dextron for a reasonable price. Only difference is that Dextron is red. Also, Dextron is available just about everywhere and HWH fluid may take some hunting.

Lube maintenance

Everyone. Thanks for the great information. I get on the HWH site. Also the WD40 for lubing the rams. That’s what I was looking for.
