Microwave outside vent??

I plan to install an outside vent for the microwave. What vent cap does Tiffin use for the outside? Do they have a spring to keep the flap against the coach when parked or traveling? I have seen SOB and theirs are cheap looking. Tiffins seems to be a little better. does anyone have a part number for Tiffin?
Thanks Billk

Call Tiffin Parts. They carry the vent and a piece of steel duct for the job in their retail store or will ship them. I also replaced the outside light as mine leaked and corroded. I did the mod this spring. It's not to difficult, but does take time.

Depending on your coach wall configuration you may be cutting a metal wall stud. Also, you'll need the extra piece with the vent flap that came with the microwave. After you reverse the fan module so it blows out the back, that piece needs to be slid into the slots in the rear of the microwave so you can attach the duct.

One final item. The microwave is not mounted to the wall, but rather to a frame that's mounted to the wall. I had to reposition this slightly and move one bar on it so the duct would have a straight run out to the vent cover. My frame was aluminum, and I didn't have the ability to weld it. I used bolted gusset plates (doublers) and it worked fine. the whole job took me 4 days plus painting, working very slowly.
