Your looking for a loan broker. They make their money buy adding a percentage to the loan interest, not a good deal. If you do a Google search for RV loan brokers, you will find some.

I financed through my dealer, but just used Essexcredit as a milestone to measure the dealer financing offer against. During the negotiation, I let the dealer know they would have to beat Essex's then current rate and I would finance through them. The dealer knowing where they stood did a decent job of getting me a good rate.

I originally got my loan from Bank of America. I am speaking with someone from Seacoast National Bank who is quoting me about 0.75% less interest (about $50 per month). I am probably going to redo it.

No I am not looking for a loan broker I just dont want some one to run my credit check several times. I either get the loan on the first one or I dont get it at all. I am looking at a 350K purchase But will only need to finance about 120K. Thought about a loan on my house but It is paid for and it feels good to know no one can throw me out of it. I plan to go full timing but will always have the stick house to go back to when needed.

Thanks
Darrell

If that's the case then obtain your own credit report and take copies to whomever you want to apply to. That way you can get rate quotes from several sources and only have the one with the lowest interest run the check. With 2/3 down approval should be expected but the interest rate will tie directly to your credit score.

Just a thought - Home Equity loans are about the best interest rates you can do right now - around 2.5%. You might want to reconsider.

Who is offering rates that low? Is that a fixed rate? That's even 2 points lower than the 6 month teaser rate that I was just quoted by a local bank. Then the rate goes up; possibly way up, to 7%. Seriously, if I could get a 2.5% H/E loan, I'm ready to jump on it and

Can't find a 2.5% around here. Maybe 5.5% teaser

My Home Equity Line of Credit is currently at 2.41%. This is a variable rate. Those interest rates are out there.
