I have an 06 Phaeton. On the last trip out you guys helped me find the master switch for the bay lights, now I need your help again. On the last few stops, when getting ready to set up, the pan in the sewer/water compartment was full of water. The grey and black pipes were dry, nothing leaking there. The pump seemed fine, the filter was dry. cap on water hose was good. Any ideas where this water might be coming from?
Thanks a lot for any help

The water is probably leaking out the water inlet when you are using the pump while you're on the road or if you are camped without a city water hookup. I can think of 2 causes for this.

1) You left the fill valve in the tank fill position. It should be in the city water position unless you are actually in the process filling the fresh water tank. Leaving the valve in the fill position while using the pump will cause water to flow back out the inlet.

2) Another possibility is the check valve inside the water inlet is leaking. If you determine #1 is not the problem, try turning on the pump with no hose connected to the inlet and the fill valve in the correct city water position. If water is leaking from the oinlet, the check valve is probably bad. The valve can sometimes be disassembled and repaired, but not always. There is a little white plastic plunger inside the inlet (if you remove the screen in the inlet, you can see it), and the O-ring can sometimes become dislodged from the plunger. If you take the valve apart, you may be able to put the O-ring back onto the plunger or replace the O-ring if it is damaged, but sometimes you have to replace the whole inlet assembly.

Hubby sometimes forgets to turn the hand sprayer in the bay off. If we use the water pump when on the road, we get water in that tray also.

Thanks for the tips, the coach is winterized now, but next trip out I will make sure the valve is in the proper position. I think this is probably what has happened. Appreciate the help
