Need help removing factory TV in my 2007 Phaeton

Like to swap out the factory Panasonic LCD TV and run a HDMI cable from the TV to the cabinet where all of the electronics are located behind the black screen. How do I remove the TV and run the HDMI cable?

Check the notch in the top of the TV surround. Does the TV tilt down? perhaps it gives enough clearance to release and lift the TV off it's mount. You'll have to figure out how to release the mount, they usually have a locking lever or set screw locking them in place. You should also examine around the edges and back of the wood trim, it might have to be removed before the TV can be removed.

There are 2 long screws on the sides of the revel accessed from the insides in each of the side cabinets. When the revel is removed there are screws to remove from the bottom of the T/V support. Disconnect the leads lift the t/v and out it comes
Be aware if the t/v is loose make sure to have help when the revel screws are removed, the T/V may fall of the dash this happened to me and gashed the dash cover.
Running the HDMI cables can be a challenge, I had to remove the cabinet backs over the door and rt side overhead cabinets and fish the cables through to the entertainment center.

Completed the TV upgrade to a 42" LED HD TV. Also added 3 HDMI cables between the TV and the equipment cabinet to the right.

AS others have said the two long screws get the bezel off. Be careful removing it the ceiling header can stick to it when you pull it off. We had to take and slowly use a plastic tool and pull the header material away.

Now to the HDMI cables. That can be a very frustrating job. open doors remove backs when you can. The doors above the TV I could not figure out how to remove without breaking them so I got them loose and reached under them. The ONLY really hard part is where you turn the corner from the cabinet over the dash to the one over the door. There is a small hole that all the cables run through. My friend and I with about 70 years of electronic experience between us tried 4 hours to do it. I looked at the HDMI cable I tried to install and looked at one on my TV in the house and noticed the cable plug itself was smaller on the one in the stick and brick house. I took it out and tried it and just the smaller head let me get it through. I ran two HDMI cables, One Ethernet Cat 5 cable while I was at it.

In order to fish the wires through the hole the best thing I could find was the thicker weedeater cable that you use on the lawnmower type weedeaters. It was flexible yet firm enough to push through there. Butt the end of the weedeater twine to the end of the HDMI cable start taping about 4 inches from the splice working your way back to it and then extending for about 3 inches. Push the HDMI cable as you are pulling on the weedeater cable.

Have fun. Remember on running new TV cables it is the destination not the journey

Good looking job George. enjoy I was only able to get a 40" in mine, that was 2-3 years ago and the edges are getting smaller though.
