New 2019 Allegro Bus connectivity questions

Our 2109 Allegro Bus 45 OPP is about 5 weeks away from delivery to us, and we're wondering what we are going to need to buy to get it up and running for wifi (in campgrounds), good cellular (parked and in motion) and satellite TV (when parked).

We ordered the optional "Winegard ConnecT" with the coach, but it's unclear which Connect model Tiffin is providing, or if it includes 4G cellular. (I guess I should have done more research on this before we ordered!)

If the Winegard ConnecT it doesn't include cellular, I expect I'll need to get a weBoost Drive 4G-X RV 470410....or something like it.

The coach has "Prep for Winegard® TRAV'LER Satellite." So I guess I still have to actually purchase and install the dish (and then set up service for it)?

Thanks for your thoughts guys!

Call Tiffin and ask them which model of the Winegard Connect they are installing. For the most part, campground wifi is hopeless and not worth connecting to. Cellular data is much more reliable except where a provider doesn't have coverage or the signal is weak.

The Winegard Trav'ler dish setup works really good on motorhomes. If you select DirecTV, you will need the Trav'ler for HD. If you choose Dish, you can get HD from your dome or the Trav'ler. Both DirecTV and Dish have DVR setups that can make your viewing experience be more like your home setup. Your best bet is to have your RV dealer install the Trav'ler before you pick the coach up.

Starting in 2019, Tiffin now uses Dish, I’m not sure but I think it comes with a Wally. The dome should already be set for Dish.
You’ll need a Traveler 1000.

It has also been reported that Directv will start to broadcast in HD over its 101 satellite sometime this spring. This will make it possible to receive many of their broadcast channels in HD via most of the on roof dome antennas. So maybe there won’t be a need for a traveler.

It's the 2.0 and with cellular and wifi. You will need to provide the SIM and data plan. Verizon and AT&T supported.

Yes, you will need to have a Winegard Traveler for Dish antenna installed. Plus dish programming package. It will work with Wallys or Hopper/Joey's.

When we ordered an Open Road in June they were still using the Winegard Connect 1 with the five masts (WiFi and cellular). We passed as you are beholden to using Winegard only for your carrier service.

Since we are starting over I haven’t checked on 1 vs 2 but if Connect2 we may go ahead and add it to the order.

Thanks everyone! Vince, This is great to hear, since some of the stuff I was seeing made it seem like with the 2.0 you had to buy data through Winegard, and their data prices were nearly double the going rate.

I guess the hot setup would be to get the prepaid Verizon plan that is unlimited and supposedly does not throttle after 15GB and put that card in the 2.0. I've seen a few threads about it, and a number of people claim it really does exist.
