New Open Road

Well, after 20 years of Fleetwood products(2 class Cs & 4 class As) were all done ruining trips and vacations due to the poor workmanship of the Fleetwood brand. Friday we drove 650 miles and picked up our first Tiffin. A brand new, 2019, 36UA. This is my wifes dream machine due to 4 grandchildren. Now Im looking forward to learning the new coach. Trip home was great and we are very happy with the layout and drivability. If we can figure out how to turn off/on the light under the kitchen cabinets all will be good.
Good bye Bounder, good bye vacuum toilet, glad theyre gone.
Ken

On mine its "Task Lights" on the Spyder panel. Unless its the light from the microwave in which case its the light switch on the microwave.

Congrats!

That’s what I’m saying, the first four were ok, the last Two a Pace Arrow and a Bounder were not. The Bounder being a piece of junk as you put it. Just a couple of the problems with the Bounder: Main wiring harness fell down on driveshaft (First vacation with it) shorting out several wires, last February while driving in mountains refrigerator fell out, last month battery mount for 4 batteries broke due to poor welds(batteries hanging by battery cables. These are the major issues. I learned over the years to expect issues but these are ridiculous and show a don’t care attitude with the assembly and that’s the attitude I received with service department at Fleetwood.
Thanks for you concern and question.

New Open Road

Thats a great looking coach and Im sure you will love it. Our story is similar - 2 Fleetwood products over 15 years. Our 05 Bounder was a great RV for 11 seasons. Not one major problem and nothing we ever had to go back to the dealer or Fleetwood warranty for. The 16 HR Admiral (same as Fleetwood Flair) was literally a piece of junk. Front cap fell off..dash fell off. And I spent a year arguing with REV Group Warranty dept. Our 16 32SA is the same basic layout as the Bounder that we loved BUT new technology, better ride and much quieter ride and more basement storage. ( Bounder had narrow storage built into the slide.)

The Tiffin is by far the nicest and best quality gas RV weve ever owned and we hope to keep it for a long time! Im sure youll be very happy with yours! Looks great.

Only thing better would be 36LA with no bunk beds. My doggie girls don't need them. Dave

Haha...me too Dave. Our rule: entertains 6, feeds 4, sleeps 2 ! But I understand that may change with grandkids.

^^^This

Go to the second position at the bottom of the display on your Spyder control and it will show all light possibilities. Off lights will be dark blue and lights on will be light blue.

Enjoy. Tiffins rock!
