New Red-Water in Fridge not working

Hi folks.
We just got our new 2019 Red. We were glad to see only a few warranty issues.
Our last motorhome (2008 Monaco) had 28 issues on the punch list.
One question. The water for the ice maker and drinking water does not work. Is there a shut off valve that needs to be switched? Or did the factory forget to attach the water line? Wonít be easy to move the fridge to check.
Thanks.
Dan

There should be an access panel outside the motorhome behind the refrigerator. Just remove the panel (usually 4 screws) and you can access the water to the refrigerator and the solenoid valve that regulates the water.

Thanks, curtsr
Tiffin should note it in the owners manual since it wouldn’t be in the Fridge’s manual.
BTW Do you close the the valve to the fridge when sanitizing the water system?

I don't close it when sanitizing the system but I do disconnect it when winterizing so I don't get the pink stuff into the refrigerator. It also allows the inlet line to the refrigerator to drain when disconnected.

When I winterize, I leave the valve open, remove the filter in the RR, then run the water dispenser till pink stuff comes out then make a few pink slush cubes in the ice maker. Just donít want to take the chance of the solenoid in the RR to freeze and break. ($$$)

In addition to what Gary said, also run the water dispenser until you get pink because there is a water reservoir inside the fridge. Be sure to remove and bypass the filter as it will filter out the pink color and you'll never get the taste of the anitfreeze out of the filter.

If the dealer installed the water filter, hopefully somewhere in your coach, they left you the blue plastic piece you use when the filter is removed

When we picked up our new 2017 40 SP the water worked then once we got home it stopped. Turned out to be a clogged water filter. You'd think it wouldn't happen with a new coach but as soon as I replaced it......everything worked. My dealer reimbursed me for the filter.

Same thing happened to us on our Phaeton. Filter was full of junk from construction.
