When running my dash air conditioning there is a fan either behind or below the dash that cycles. It's noisy. Annoyingly noisy actually.

Anyone experience this?

Is it normal or is my hearing super power too sensitive?

I haven't tried to run the heat yet.

yup, 2003 phaeton 35rh has really noisy fan, and it annoys on both air cond and heat. I recently had to drive non stop Ga to De in COLD weather. I gave the dash heat and my sanity a break every so often by using the generator and the roof heat pump until it dropped below the magic 40. Then I used the furnace a bit thru VA. Not nice, but no known fix per my trusty mechanic. If you find a cure please share!

Yes 2010 phaeton. It the air-conditioning fan it cycles on and off as the compressor go's on. At least thats what I seem to have discovered. If you tirn off the Dash A/C you will notice no noise. Freightliner said its normal.

Thanks everyone. I'll learn to live with it. I'll be at Camp Frieghtliner later this week. I suppose I will bring it up when there. I don't expect much to change, but feedback to our manufactures can't hurt.
