Most all RV generators only put out one phase.. However my Generator has TWO circuit breakers.. If half the coach is w/o power odds are like 99.something percent one of those breakers has gone on a TRIP (which to say has tripped if you don't get it, which is understandable under the conditions) These breakers are on the generator's "local" control panel and are not well marked as to on/off in my case.. Well, they are well marked NOW, but were not from the factory.
So what about the small fraction of a percent when it's not the generator's breakers?
That's split between a bad connection on one leg and a bad transfer switch and the very very slight posibility that ONE side of the main breaker pair has tripped.. I have seen this one time but not in the motor home (it was the shore power breaker that was half-cocked.) Note that the mains will affect shore power as well.
Finally... I have found that many RVers have.. A few screws loose... The ones that hold the wires, both to the breakers and the bus bars, in the power distribution center... high on the list of screws likely to be loose.
