Passenger side floor wet under A/C vents 36LA

The last few times we made long drives the carpet got very wet down by our feet, only on the passenger side. It seems to drip from under the dashboard a/c vents on that side. Anyone else have this issue in their 36LA? Ours is a 2016. Could it be possible it’s just condensation as the days were very hot and humid outside?

Thanks everyone!
Steve

Yes, it is just condensation on the AC vent hoses. Some people have wrapped theirs with insulation to alleviate the condensation. I usually just run the overhead ACs and have the dash air on without the compressor just to recirculate air so there's no condensation.

Is your evaporator condensate drain plugged? Just like on automobiles there should be a drain at the bottom of the hvac evaporator compartment. It's usually a piece of tubing or hose that drips water when your rig is parked after a drive using the a/c in humid climate. It sometimes gets clogged with debris or mold and mildew. Or it could have been kinked when installed.

And don't forget to change those cabin air filters.

Thanks Reacher! Where would I find that drain please? And I also should change the cabin filter. Is that on the inside under the dash or under the hood?

Thanks so much!

The drain hose on mine extends from the bottom of the evaporator under the hood on the PS firewall. The cabin air filter has a small rectangular access door almost identical to the image I posted. You should be able to down load the owners and service manual from the link in my previous post.

The dash a/c wet floor problem happens in my 2014 36LA on humid hot days. Does anyone know if the 2014 dash a/c system has a air filter and if so where is it located. I couldn't find anything on the denco hvac web site for my year model.

my 2016 34PA does not have a cabin filter, the new densos do. Round knob cluster as shown above is new unit. I always run my AC in recirc because in normal, AC system on long trips will blow water on pass side , Made mistake one day and when shut engine off must have been 1/2 gallon of condensate drained on ground.

I wrote to Tiffin service about this issue and they suggested to wrap some foam wrap insulation around the vents. Looks like the glove compartment/workstation has screws that can be removed. Maybe I’ll look under there as it seems like the source of the dripping water is under that area.

Thanks. Steve

I have found the cabin air filter just above the generator, removed it and quite dirty, part # SG145520-3780 (7.5 x 8.25 x 1 in). Have searched the internet without success trying to find a replacement, checked all the Denso sites as well. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Thanks all, found the air filter on the Tiffin Parts Website, also found that a Fram Cabin Filter CF10285 fits perfectly, Walmart $ 13.00. Amazon also has them.
Thanks again.
